Squarespace doesn’t always let you add an ID directly to a heading. The most reliable method is to use a Spacer block as the anchor marker.

For each section you want to jump to:

1. Scroll to the section (example: your Introduction heading).

2. Insert a Spacer block directly above that heading:

• Hover above the heading → Add Block → Spacer

3. Click the Spacer to edit its settings.

4. In the Spacer settings panel, find Advanced → ID (or Block ID).

5. Enter the exact locked ID, without the #
